Our core laboratory is located in Lome, Togo, conveniently position to serve offshore Ship-to-Ship operations, as well as local shore-side terminals. We also have a newly furnished laboratory based in Apapa region of Lagos, Nigeria, which is responsible for product import certification on all products entering the country via terminal imports, as well as ad-hoc nominations, including some of the less common analysis in West Africa, such as Salt Content and predictive Research Octane Number, alongside a range of essential key-points.
Equipped with the latest necessary instrumentation and analytical techniques, leading the local market in a transition to automated testing, such as Flash Point and Distillation our laboratory in Lome is capable of performing analysis on a wide range of petrochemical properties, from Density and Flash Point to more complex analysis including UV Sulphur analysis, Determination of Hydrocarbon Type by FIA, and Elemental Quantification by ICP; having recently constructed a custom-designed clean room to house our brand new Spectro-Genesis ICP-OES.

2023 will also see the construction of a brand-new facility, custom designed to meet the specific requirements of precision petrochemical analysis, which is being developed concurrently whilst working towards attaining ISO 17025 accreditation, led by our UK based Quality Management Team.

We also provide expert witnessing of analytical analysis within terminal or 3rd party laboratories.
Government Export Supervision Schemes
We work closely with Governments to safeguard their interests and fully protect them with regard to verification of quantity, ensuring:
-
Bill of Ladings truly reflect the quantity shipped by the exporter.
-
Verifying the quality, where quality may have a reflection on pricing.
-
Fiscal Auditing, this service enabling at a glance, the true position on fiscal losses due to incorrect practices with metering or other issues.
Meter auditing is also a service which ensures that meters at export or collecting facilities (Crude Oil), are properly calibrated and records maintained to manufacturers standards. This is a service becoming more and more standard on the African Continent, as mechanical failings easily resort to losses. Our superintendents easily identify shortfalls in maintenance and record keeping in this field of operation.
Government Export Supervision Schemes may include the following procedures:
-
Fiscal auditing (Undertaken by qualified Chartered Accountants)
-
Product quantity and quality control
-
Pipeline monitoring
-
Point of export monitoring and controlling
-
Custodial document generation and auditing
-
Custodial transfer monitoring
